The remaining fixtures of the 2007/08 Puma North West Youth Alliance were completed this week and the final table sees the Silkmen in a very creditable fourth position. Their highest ever league finish, coupled with a great run in the FA Youth Cup sponsored by E-ON, plus the emergence of several of the youth team players into first team contention capped a remarkable season of progress for the Youth Team, much to the delight of John Askey.

"Everyone can look back on the last year with pride given what progress we have made on and off the field," enthused John. "But the most important thing now is that we continue to build on the foundations we have created and ensure it is not a one season wonder."
