North West Youth Alliance
The Youth Team ran out comprehensive winners against Rochdale at the weekend, the 4-0 scoreline not really a true reflection of how the home side had dominated affairs. The goals came from Nick Blackman (2), John Rooney and an OG.
The result sees the Silkmen strengthen their 3rd place in the North West Youth Alliance but with Walsall and Blackpool also winning the chances of lifting the title have all but been distinguished. However two wins from their remaining two games will ensure John Askey's team achieve the club's highest ever finish and a great building block to go into next season.
The Youth Team are next in action on Friday (a day earlier than previously advised) when they travel to Wigan Athletic.
