"It was a very frustrating game.  We didn't start well at all and were diabolical in the first half, credit to Accrington they fully deserved to go in ahead at half time. One we got them together though and started to play a bit we stretched them and caused them a lot of problems in the second half.

"It's not good enough starting at half time in games - we've got to work from the first minute to the last.  Today we nearly got away with it but then we've not defended well for the third goal and we're not happy with that and can assure you the lads aren't either.  We've got to make sure that when we go ahead with that little time left that we shut up shop and see it out.

"It was bad defending to concede a goal the way we did in the last minute, but we were even unhappier at the second goal.  For me it was an excellent tackle by Kevin McIntyre, he won't make a cleaner tackle to win the ball all season.  For the referee to give a free kick in that position was absolutely diabolical. The referee has cost us that second goal.

"There were a lot of words said at half time because our first half performance we totally out of character, the half against Boston is the only time we've played that badly since we've been here.

"Accrington played a little bit like Boston and we handled that game poorly just like today. So we've got to make sure that when we come up against opposition like that we adapt and make sure we are in control of the game.

"Matthew Tipton has been outstanding over the last couple of weeks.  He's been on a fitness regime and diet and responded extremely well.  He's worked tremendously hard to got his weight down and shown a fantastic attitude to everything he's done.  He came today and proved what a quality player he can be for this football club.

"We're still on course to reach where we want to reach.Obviously we will have one or two disappointments between now and the end of the season and we think that was one of them today."
