At some stage most of us must have dreamt about scoring the winning goal for Macc and milking the applause of the Silkmen faithful.

Whilst that prospect for the majority us will remain a fantasy we can offer the next best thing and that is the chance to play a game on the hallowed Moss Rose surface, recently voted one of the best in League Two.

Someone who did was Matthew Power. Earlier this week he, together with a group of friends and colleagues had run of the place and by all accounts had a great time.

"We had a fantastic time. Everybody involved yesterday thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even the team on the wrong side of the 8-2 scoreline!" enthused Matthew.

"On behalf of all who played I would just like to say thanks to everyone at the club for providing us with such an exciting opportunity. Hopefully the watching scouts will have reported back to KA and he will be in touch with our agents with an offer of a contract! We may need to work on the fitness bit of the game however judging by how tired we were the day after!"
