Showing support for the Silkmen
Lifelong Silkmen fan John Clark was the first person to sign up earlier this week for a 2008/09 season ticket and in doing so taking advantage our of 'Early Bird' pricing.
Buy on or before May 16th and you will qualify for a much reduced price ticket whilst also enjoying all the other benefits of being a season ticket holder.
"This is my 45th year supporting Macc and I have had a season ticket ever since we climbed into the Football League. I didn't have any hesitation signing up again for next year as I want to show faith in the club both in terms of coming along to games and of course financially," enthused John.
A resident of Sutton John watches the Silkmen from the Star Lane End and is confident we can pick up the point we need from today's game to ensure our league status.
"I used to stand along the touchline in front of the Main Stand but I moved a few years ago as I much prefer the atmosphere behind the goal. This season has been a bit up and down as early on I thought we played some nice football. But when the results didn't come you just sensed the players lost their way a bit. Keith's arrival has been just the fillip we needed and whilst you would be hard pushed to describe the footy as pretty, it has certainly been effective and you cannot argue with that."
"Success is what all fans crave for and hopefully if we can finish of the season in style we will get more fans follow my lead and signing up for next season. Sometimes I think people forget how small the town is. So for me if we can get up to an average of around 2,500 that would be comparable to the likes of what other teams with a larger catchment area tend to attract."
"I think the season ticket for next season is really good value as in addition to getting five free games we are guaranteed tickets for cup games plus free admission to watch the reserves."
To join John why not pop into the club office's today, or failing that sometime between now and May 16th. Tickets can be bought over the phone or in person and the office in open each week day from 09.30 until 5pm.
Full details of season ticket prices are contained in the 'Tickets' section of the official website.
