Keith Alexander has agreed to extend his stay in the Moss Rose manager's office, shaking hands earlier today on a new two year deal.

Chairman Mike Rance said this evening "We are all delighted that negotiations with Keith have been successful and we look forward to working with him more over the next two seasons. Results since he and Gary arrived have been just what we needed and whilst we are not mathematically safe yet, we are very close."

Keith Alexander added "I have really enjoyed my time here at the Moss Rose and I'm very happy to sign on for two more years.  The players have responsed well to my management and credit to them for getting us to the position we are in today.  We aren't taking our foot off the pedal yet and I will be looking for another fully committed performance at Bury next week.  Nevertheless, we can also start to plan for next season as well and I expect us to be challenging at the other end of the table."

Since Keith arrived at the Moss Rose in the last week of February, the Silkmen have played nine league games, winning four, drawing three and losing just two, picking up 15 points out of a possible 27.
