One of the biggest plus points since the arrival of Keith Alexander at the Moss Rose has been the re-emergence of Jamie Tolley. The midfielder has been a regular in the team and rediscovered the form that first brought him to our attention whilst playing for Shrewsbury.

And after scoring the crucial equaliser against his former club the other week, Jamie popped up with another goal on Saturday to secure a much needed point from our trip to the Racecourse Ground.

"Yes it's really great to be involved again," explained Jamie. "This season has been really tough and there were times when I started thinking I might not play again."

Jamie picked up a very serious wrist injury in the summer and is still playing in the special cast that has been made for him.

"I'll probably have to wear the cast for at least another six months. Certainly when I first came back into the side I was very aware of it as one fall could have put me right back where I started. But game by game I am getting my confidence back and hopefully that has been reflected in my performances."

"The new gaffer has come in and it has been a clean start for everyone. We are much more disciplined now and he has very clear ideas of how he wants to play. So as a player you have a simple choice. If you don't buy into it you won't play. Winning a couple of games has obviously helped as there's nothing like a few three points to build people's confidence."

"And I suppose looking back you could say that we were all a bit in our comfort zone. We probably needed a kick up the backside and the results since the gaffer arrived are exactly the sort of response we needed to give."

"The table certainly looks a lot better than it did and for me it is great that we have gone above Shrewsbury in the table. Their fans gave me a bit of stick the other week so it was nice to get the goal. I've still got mates in the town and I popped into see my brother who still lives there on Sunday. Paul Simpson's come in and I think everyone was expecting them to start picking up. I am certainly surprised that they have been dragged down and I am sure there are a few nervous people back at the New Meadow right now."

"But I am sure if we can finish above them we'll be safe and we can go along way to achieving that with the visit of Mansfield to the Moss Rose on Saturday. It's another six pointer and it would be great if I could get another goal. I've never been a prolific scorer in my career but the gaffer is encouraging me to get forward and when I get a chance to shoot. I was pleased with the one on Saturday but felt I could have gotten a second. Unfortunately it just went wide. Had it gone in I think it would have finished them off."

"I am really enjoying my football again and it is just great to be back. My contract runs out this summer and having been injured for the first half of the season  it has been playing on my mind. But for the time being all I can do it keep giving 100% and hopefully secure myself another deal when the contracts are handed out at the end of the season."
