Thanks to all those who responded to our ealier request for volunteers. That and the welcome sight of sunny skies has meant that most of the snow on the Moss Rose surface has quickly disappeared.

"Thankfully nature appears to be taking its course," explained chairman Mike Rance who has spent most of the morning helping down at the ground. "The sun coming out has meant the snow has started to melt and the immediate danger to tomorrow afternoon's game has therefore been removed. However temperatures are forecast to dip to minus four tonight so as a precaution we will be putting on the frost covers. Mark and the groundstaff team will be doing that at 4pm today and would benefit from a small number of volunteers to help them in the task. So if anyone is around at that time there help would be much appreciated."
