Silkmen goalkeeper Tommy Lee has today signed for Rochdale on an emergency loan for a month.  Both Rochdale's senior goalkeepers are injured and Tommy will be pitched straight into the side for Dale's game at our bottom four rivals Notts County this afternoon.

Given that gaffer Keith Alexander does not put a keeper on the bench for games, and that Football League rules state that we can recall Tommy at any time (goalkeeper being a specialist position) it makes sense to allow Tommy to go out and get some games under his belt, especially ones against our close rivals!

Tommy started this season as our first choice goalkeeper but lost his place through a hand injury in early December.  Apart from the game at Lincoln where he came on for an injured Jonny Brain late on in the first half, he has not featured in the side since he recovered from injury.
