We have to remain positive
Like most others who attended last night's home defeat against Lincoln City manager Ian Brightwell left the Moss Rose at a loss to explain how his side had once again lost in a game they had bossed. For Morecambe and Bradford now read Lincoln!

One of many missed chances
"If you didn't know the result and you looked at the stats from the game last night you would have thought there was only going to be one winner. We had over twenty attempts on goal compared to only a few by Lincoln. Our corner count was vastly superior as well. But that means for very little as it was them who went back home with the three points."
"Yet again I had to endure a conversation with an opposing manager during which they complimented me on my team's performance. Peter Jackson readily admitted they got out of jail and that is getting very boring to hear. But to be honest it was us who gave them the key with two silly mistakes and our inability to put the ball into the back of the net."
"Michael knows he should have released the ball earlier in the lead up to their first and similarly the way we gifted them their second with a miss hit pass across the park was sloppy. I've asked the players to go away and think what they can do to ensure it doesn't happen again."
"It's a very difficult situation as those two moments aside the lads' effort was spot on. I thought yet again we played some very neat football and had the chances to bury them. So it would be wrong to lay into the players in the same way as if they had say performed poorly. But something has to change if we aren't going to get sucked into a relegation battle. We are hovering too close to the bottom for comfort and we need to ensure we start picking some points up, starting with the trip to Morecambe at the weekend."
"We'll be without the services of Martin Gritton who had to come off last night. He's being looked at today but if it is his hamstring as expected it could be anything between two and four weeks before he recovers. But I thought Franny looked sharp when he came on and with Gareth scoring again we have options I can look at for the trip at the weekend."
"The worst thing that can happen is if we start to panic and forget about playing football. Undoubtedly we need to be more clinical in front of goal and several times last night we snatched at chances when a bit more composure would have served us better."
"But we will work on that in training and hopefully continue our recent good run away from home. I know the fans are nervous, frustrated and worried. We understand that. Everyone needs to stick together and if we can do that I am confident we will finally start converting our performances into points on the board."
