"I don't know exactly how many shots we had today but I'm sure it was in double figures and they've had two shots on goal and scored them both which obviously just goes to show that it's goals that win you games.
"I'm disappointed that we didn't start the game well enough, but I was pleased with the way we performed for the other 70 minutes of the game and in the second half I thought the players were different class.
"I've said to the players that we've played some great football, created chances, defended well in the second half but the fact is that not being able to put the ball in the net has cost us the points.
"The free-kick for their second goal I didn't feel was a foul in the first place - the referee made a few decisions that I thought were strange to say the least and he didn't keep the game flowing. That's for both teams though, I think he made some poor decisions against Chester as well but they got that free kick and scored it which has made a huge difference.
"At half time I told them they had to be a lot better than they were in the first 20 minutes because we didn't get out of the blocks again. We needed to keep playing football but also be a bit more aggressive with a higher tempo and be first to the ball more. To be fair to the players they came out and did all those things which makes me even more disappointed that we didn't get anything from the game.
"We outplayed them for most of the game and even though they're in the top six I don't think there's a team we've played this year that suggests that we couldn't be up there around that area. But if we want to do that we need to be more ruthless and kill games off to get more points on the board.
"We created a load of chances and couldn't put the ball in the net. The players know that, I don't need to go ranting at them about it.
"It's a switch round from last season that it has been the home form letting us down this time. Touch wood we haven't lost away yet but even though we've been playing well at home and creating a lot of chances that home win hasn't come yet.
"It's very important that it comes soon - I've just stressed that to the players. They need to keep their heads up, be positive and learn from the first 20 minutes of the game while also taking on everything they've done in the other 70 minutes and if they do that then they'll do well.
"I don't think Edgy will be fit for Tuesday - he got a calf strain on Thursday in training so I'd have thought it might be two weeks before he's back. Izak played right back today and I thought he did very well - it was his first appearance this season but was excellent and I was really pleased with his performance."
